The Aravani Art Project is an art collective led by Trans-women and cis-women, dedicated to promoting inclusivity for the Transgender and LGBTQIA+ com Read moremunities through creative expression, awareness campaigns, and community engagement. Despite growing visibility for Transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, many still face widespread discrimination, stigma, and systemic challenges. The project seeks to reshape societal perceptions by reclaiming spaces through diverse forms of art and amplifying the voices of these communities. Its mission focuses on creating safe, empowering public spaces for Transgender and LGBTQIA+ individuals, while also supporting marginalized cis-women. By using public art, the collective sparks conversations about gender identities and fosters greater awareness. Additionally, the Aravani Art Project addresses the global need for visibility and support for the Transgender community, offering freelance art and design opportunities as alternative income sources. Overall, it highlights the transformative power of art in driving social change and fostering inclusivity.

Serendipity Arts Festival
StateThe Serendipity Arts Festival, held annually in Goa, is a multidisciplinary event celebrating Visual Arts, Culinary Arts, Performative Arts, and Literature. One of its installations, titled ‘Not Just Faces,’ features 60 portraits painted by Transgender women from the collective. Accompanied by a looping voiceover, each portrait shares personal life stories and poses a question to viewers. This installation highlights the evolving perspectives on Transgender individuals and underscores their crucial role in driving societal change.

We the Women
"We the Women" is a distinctive Women's Summit— a festival created by and for women. It serves as a platform for fostering a community and space for unrestricted expression. An interactive artwork at the event invited participants to complete a sentence about what a woman means to them, emphasizing the significance of personal identity and self-worth in defining one's womanhood.
