NOEL FOUNDATION: SAVING LITTLE HEARTS, ONE BEAT AT A TIME Noel Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children Read more through health and education. With a focus on children born with heart defects, we provide vital financial assistance and emotional care, while also promoting social and economic transformation through education.
Issue
THE CHALLENGE: Addressing the Needs of Children with Congenital Heart Defects Pediatric cardiac care in India is still in its early stages, leaving many underprivileged children without access to advanced treatments. Congenital Heart Disease (CHD), a structural or functional heart condition present at birth, is alarmingly common, accounting for 28 percent of all congenital birth defects. Shockingly, nearly 2,20,000 to 2,50,000 children are born with heart disease in India every year, and sadly, around 1,80,000 children lose their lives due to CHD-related complications annually.
Action
THE URGENCY: SAVING LIVES AND ALLEVIATING FINANCIAL BURDENS CHD surgeries are complex and carry significant risks. Unfortunately, the high costs involved, ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 6 lakh, make it challenging for low-income families to provide the necessary care for their children. Many families struggle to gather such substantial sums, leaving them feeling helpless and uncertain about their child's future. Noel Foundation has made its their mission to support parents of pediatric heart patients, providing them with the emotional and financial support they need to save their little brave hearts. Through strategic partnerships with hospitals and grassroots-level initiatives, we strive to offer a new lease on life for underprivileged children suffering from Congenital Heart Defects.
