Akshar
Fauji ke Alfaaz launched the nationwide initiative अक्षर (Akshar), which aims to give impoverished children access to a basic education. The best place to start for any of these initiatives—health, women's empowerment, job creation, etc.—is with knowledge.
Under Fauji ke Alfaaz's अक्षर (Akshar) initiative, children from disadvantaged backgrounds—child labour, children of the poorest parents, children afflicted with diseases, children on the streets and runaways with some disabilities, children affected by disasters, and children living in slums—will receive an education. Education for women and girls is given particular attention.
