The Parashar Foundation focuses on aiding the less fortunate by offering financial assistance to schools, health centres, and different organisations. Read more Initially centred on charitable contributions, the Foundation now concentrates on a specific goal – promoting widespread awareness of organ donation in India. Its main aim is to improve healthcare access for the underprivileged, educate the impoverished, and contribute to the overall well-being of the population. Since 2013, the foundation has actively pursued this mission through ORGAN (Organ Receiving & Giving Awareness Network) India. This initiative aims to tackle the shortage of organ donors by creating a system that facilitates organ donation across the country. The Foundation is dedicated to educating the public about organ donation through various means such as social media, radio, television, awareness sessions in educational institutions and hospitals, and training programmes for effective implementation. Its ultimate goal is to increase donor pledges, offer support to individuals facing organ failure, and influence public policy on organ donation by advocating efforts, positioning itself as a leader in raising awareness among various NGOs in the field.
