Education to the underprivileged children
Our NGO Jagriti was founded in 2001 to battle illiteracy with the major aim of providing free education to the underprivileged. Our aim is to educate all the underprivileged Children of urban slums of Rajasthan in this decade.
Jagriti began its foundation with the mission to provide social service such as providing relief aid, uplifting slums to be cleaner, providing free mobile mortuary services, etc. However, soon it was realised that no issue can be tackled well unless the people on the receiving end are educated. It was then that Jagriti decided to dedicate the majority of itself to the cause of education.
In the initial days, it all started with a slum school in Jaipur where only 40 slum children were studying amidst dense sewer water under a tin-shed. Jagriti initiated the construction of rooms and worked very hard in bringing slum children to School. Almost all children (approximately 350) of that slum were motivated to come to school with our daily early morning visits t
