Mission education
Mission Education is a nationwide initiative led by Hello Foundation. This program is dedicated to furnishing fundamental education and healthcare services to children from underprivileged backgrounds. Hello Foundation, committed to enhancing educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged children, firmly believes that education holds the key to addressing crucial concerns such as healthcare, poverty, population management, unemployment, and human rights.
Education serves as both the pathway and destination for an improved life. It acts as a pathway by bestowing individuals with the ability to secure their livelihoods and as a destination by enhancing their understanding of a wide array of topics, ranging from healthcare and socially appropriate conduct to the comprehension of their rights. Hello foundation supports the children by donating school supplies, footwear and arranging for fees and transport, thus providing underprivileged children access to continuous learning. -
Mobile healthcare
Urban slum residents endure detrimental health conditions primarily due to two key factors. Firstly, the lack of education translates to a lack of awareness about health matters. Secondly, the reluctance to forgo a day's income in order to travel to the nearest medical facility contributes to this issue. Consequently, the pressing requirement for healthcare among the underprivileged remains unattended.
The prevailing necessity demands a dual-pronged strategy. Firstly, the provision of healthcare services must be extended to the doorsteps of those in need. Secondly, efforts must be made to cultivate awareness about healthcare and to foster modern healthcare-seeking behaviors within the underprivileged population.
It initiated the "Hello on Wheels" program. This innovative initiative is designed to tackle the challenges of mobility, accessibility, and availability of primary healthcare, with particular emphasis on the well-being of children and women in urban and rural areas. -
Women empowerment
Introduced in 2005, Swa-Shakti, which translates to 'self-power' in English, was conceived to address these challenges through a straightforward yet impactful approach. This initiative focuses on nurturing both personal and collective self-esteem and inner resilience within marginalized and socially excluded women and adolescent girls through innovative community practices.
The program has developed a customized strategy known as the '4 S Model' under the umbrella of women's empowerment. The '4 S Model' comprises four pioneering approaches: 'Seeking Healthcare as a Behaviour,' 'Support for Education,' 'Supporters through Male Involvement,' and 'Sustaining the Change in Communities.'
Swa-Shakti identifies women and adolescent girls from the community and empowers them to become Change Agents, actively contributing to the process of community mobilization.
Swa-Shakti's women's education empowerment and health initiatives have impacted the lives of over 560,000 women and girls. -
