Edify Foundation is a community-based organisation that empowers and supports positive changes in the lives of underprivileged children, their familie Read mores, and communities. The foundation's purpose is to promote welfare activities, provide support for individuals with disabilities and those facing poverty within rural communities, all while utilising impact monitoring techniques for effective project management. The organisation's overarching goal is to eliminate the spectre of impoverishment that looms over these less fortunate individuals, who, driven by socio-economic constraints, find themselves compelled to inhabit slum areas and endure lives marked by adversity.Their multifaceted approach encompasses making people aware of children's inherent right to life, emphasising that the best interests of children should always take precedence. They work to establish the rights of children without discrimination based on caste, creed, or religion. Programs

  • Awareness programme

During the reviewed period, the organisation initiated a campaign against the rising menace of plastic pollution, recognizing its gradual emergence as a quiet but lethal threat. The organisation's modest endeavours focus on exerting pressure on individuals to limit their usage of plastic carry bags and shaping public sentiment to encourage governmental intervention in curbing pollution from industrial sources. The organisation orchestrated an awareness campaign addressing the pressing issue of child trafficking. The aim is to bolster these women's physical, social, emotional, and legal well-being.
In conjunction with creating avenues for sustainable livelihoods, the project seeks to cultivate a culture of regular savings within the community and establish comprehensive social safety nets. Apart from focusing on income generation and the effective functioning of the self-help group model, the initiative also places significant emphasis on providing training for skill development and enhancing overall capacity.

  • Counselling programme

The organisation maintains an ongoing commitment to instilling positive social behaviours in children. This dedication led to the organisation of a child counselling program, which encompassed a variety of activities including individual and group sessions involving problem-solving, storytelling, games, and meditation, all conducted under the supervision of trained counsellors.
