Gramshree is a Charitable Organization registered in 2018 under the India Trust Act, to impact the lives of Tribal Families through integrated livelih Read moreood intervention and market-led solutions to promote rural entrepreneurs and collective rural enterprise. Gramshree was founded by two development professionals Mr. Rakesh Gupta and Ms. Namita Pandey, who have more than 35 years of collective experience in promoting community, institutions, value chain, organizational development, promoting social enterprise, and start-ups. They believe in Gandhi's Philosophy of Gram Swaraj, where the community takes control of its development. Grasmhree is currently working with more than 3,000 families across 90 villages spread over 5 Blocks of 4 districts of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Gramshree has formed more than 120 Producer Groups and 1 Producer Company.  Gramshree builds the capacity of tribal women, through collectivizing them into Producer Groups and Farmers Producer Company. The idea is to build a self-reliance community institution, that can take forward the activities at the community level upon withdrawal of Gramshree from the geography. Based on the assessment of resources at the community level and skill set, Gramshree works on livelihood interventions with a focus on increasing the income of individual families. Currently, Gramshree is working on subsistence agriculture with a focus on increasing the productivity of existing crops like maize, wheat, paddy, mustard, pulses, and gram . One of the other focuses are as is commercial vegetable cultivation ensuring additional income in the range of Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 annually. Gramshree also links these farmers directly to the market . We work on the establishment of mini-processing units in villages working on value addition for Custard Apple, Jamun, Amla, Mango, and Tamarind. Tribal women get employment opportunities in this mini unit at the village level. This intervention has helped Tribal to earn additional income in the range of Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000/- We need support to impact the lives of 1,000 Tribal farmers in Uttar Bastar of Chhattisgarh. We need the support of Rs 6,000 per farmer per year to make the impact we have been able to demonstrate with our work in Rajasthan. This will include supporting farmers to take up vegetable cultivation, Farmers will be taken for exposure visits, will be provided training and a Gramshree Agriculture expert will provide technical support the ensure the proper plantation, nutrition, and pest management of the farm.
