SEVAK – Society for Empowerment through Voluntary Action in Karnataka. Established in 2009 under the guidance and leadership of Mr. Anand Lobo and re Read moregistered under Karnataka Society Registration Act 1960 and Section 12A & 80G under Income Tax Act, 1961. SEVAK also been registered under FCRA Act, 2010 to receive foreign contribution. SEVAK has come in existence to empower the weakened society, the children who lost their educational touch, the girls married at Early age, the health issues, devadasi, migrant workers & domestic workers right, to motivate the people to increase their economic status by increasing their level of income. SEVAK help to organise the communities especially women, farmers and the children in self help group, farmers club and children club. SEVAK help them by creating social awareness, training and workshops to empower them. Capacity building of the school development and monitoring committees in government schools by providing necessary training for them. Mr. Anand Lobo is more passionate about the empowerment of the society and he is associated in this area since last 25 years working for different sectors of the society. He was the chairperson of Child welfare committee, member of Karnataka State Committee for protection of Child Rights and also he was the Member Magistrate for Juvenile Justice Board. The thought of the SEVAK is Right to Life with Dignity for All. Presently working on the Initiative for Married Adolescent Girls Empowerment in Karnataka, Empowering Children getting out from Devadasi system & Exploitation (C Good Project), Mobile Medical Unit, Women empowerment of Domestic Workers in Belgaum District, Community Awareness on Science through traditional puppetry, Covid-19 Crises Response, Community monitoring of Fair Price Shop under Public Distribution System and Government School Situation Analysis with PADI Foundation. SEVAK is for “Right to life with dignity for all”
