Perkins India looks for kids with vision impairment and various impairments (MDVI). In addition to having a vision impairment, children with MDVI may also have at least one other disability, such as a cognitive, developmental, hearing, or mobility problem. All of these kids are capable of learning, even though they might not see their environment the same as someone with normal eyesight or speak differently from other kids.

The goal of intervention for kids with various disabilities and visual impairments is to get over early obstacles to inclusion and learning.
