Sujata Compassion Foundation

Sujata Compassion Foundation was set up in 2020 to address the exacerbated poverty caused by the pandemic. The Sujata area is just east of Bodhgaya, Read moreBihar, and depends heavily on international tourism. After a series of food distributions, we took out a lease on a piece of land and began growing vegetables. I am based in the USA and have been fundraising, whereas the team on the ground in India are responsible for the cultivation. In addition to the organic vegetable growing project, we are sponsoring the education of one boy who was orphaned some years ago when the Falgu river flooded. It is our intention to broaden support for education and healthcare as we grow.
