About

  • Since

    2021

VESSO was founded on 6th May 2017 with a view to helping the most disadvantaged Vishwakarma artisans as well as the poorest of the poor in society. Th Read moree idea was just not to help the poor artisans, but to make them stand on their own legs by providing the necessary tools. VESSO was founded by seven highly committed Corporate employees conscious of the fact that welfare schemes of government alone are not sufficient to lift everyone at the bottom of the pyramid and those better off should always lend a helping hand to the disadvantaged to enable them to lead a decent life. Joined by like-minded members in course of time, the strength of VESSO is now more than 200 Members. The livelihood of Vishwakarma artisans like goldsmiths has, in recent times, been badly affected for various reasons. While some have shifted to other occupations, others are struggling to make a living. In many cases, government welfare schemes are not sufficient to make the artisans self-sufficient thus needing extra help from NGOs like VESSO. VESSO identifies the beneficiaries with the help of its network across the state as well as leaders of welfare societies in various towns and villages. VESSO has spent over 13 lakh rupees approximately to uplift society. VESSO has been serving the poorest of the poor, particularly artisans, providing livelihoods to artisans displaced from their trade, organizing dry ration / cooked food distribution to poorer sections affected adversely by the outbreak of Corona pandemic, financial aid to sick & road accident victims, widows, poor brides, women empowerment, girl child, Anna Daanam, etc.

Programs

  • CONSUMER AWARENESS PROGRAMME

An NGO organised a consumer awareness camp in Hyderabad, Telangana, on the occasion of Consumer's Day, to educate people about the safety measures they should take before purchasing anything from the market. The programme effectively imparted the fundamental guidelines governing consumer interest. They were also advised of the several consumer associations to whom they may turn for advice and assistance.

  • SC/OBC AWARENESS PROGRAMME

Even though a lot of time has passed since independence, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes are still not widely recognised by NGOs. Recognising its obligation, the Trust has established several programmes for the welfare of the SC, ST, and OBC, offering them financial and technical support to launch their businesses and pursue further education.
