Treatment of sick and injured animals
District
South Goa
States
Goa
When sick or injured animals are brought to the shelter or when calls are received to attend to them on-site, the shelter manager conducts an initial assessment. Animals with non-serious conditions are promptly treated and released, while those with serious issues are admitted to the shelter for comprehensive care and treatment. The team, led by veterinarians Dr. Myron Dacosta or Dr. Amanda Fernandes, oversees treatment plans, with surgical cases handled by them on a weekly basis. Life-threatening situations are managed at ASA under the supervision of Dr. Myron and nurse Brendy.
