Swasti Seva Sangathan is an NGO registered under societies registration act XXI of 1860, have valid 12 A and 80G along with CSR-1 Registration. The o Read morerganization was founded by a group of committed youth of Dhenkanal district who came forward with the mission to Mobilize support service & Implement pro-people programs for structural poverty alleviation with a direct Poverty Alleviation Input, Social Reconstruction, Policy Advocacy, Empowerment of Women & Gender Equity, total Health, Capacity Building of Youth and women, Skill Development of disadvantaged youth & Infrastructure creation for and by the people. The organization has empowered the Secretary and Chairman as the corresponding and legal authority. The management council of the organization is constituted democratically by elected members from the general body members. The tenure of the management council is three years. Swasti Seva Sangathan focuses on rendering quality services for the marginalized people of its jurisdiction. This group includes Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, destitute women, children, families below the poverty line, elderly persons, people with disabilities, small farmers, and persons who are unable to afford healthcare. SSS has expanded its horizons to Dhenkanal, Angul and Sundergada districts. The organization is also registered under NGO DARPAN of NITI AYOG. The unique ID is OR/2021/0283538 BRIEF NOTE OF ACTIVITIES OF THE ORGANIZATION ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME: At the present situation of unemployment, the organization has conducted 10 batches of Entrepreneurship and skill development programs during the last three years with the support of Antodaya Chetana Mandal, Baripda a leading NGO. Each batch was for 30 youth, artisans and women artisans, adolescents. To conduct the program, Our organization adopt a methodology like social mobilization skill training and escort support service for job/self-employment. COMMUNITY HEALTH PROGRAMME: The region where Swasti Seva Sangathan work is mostly inhabited by tribal and rural people. Malnutrition is a major health problem both for mothers and children. Hence our organization is engaged in making the target group aware of their health problem, organizing health camps, and distributing Vitamin A supplements, Albendazole free of cost. In association with the local health administration Organize free health check-up camps and referral services. ACCESS TO JUSTICE: Through Digital literacy, Legal awareness and Legal literacy is a common program of our organization to develop the access and confidence of our target group so that they can adequately justify their rights. FINANCIAL INCLUSION: It is a part of our ongoing program to aware the marginalized people towards the entitlement realization of the people, we serve to enable them to avail different anti-poverty schemes and programs. WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: Swasti Seva Sangathan organises women, educate them and form Self-help groups, regular savings and credit through SHG, skill training for starting different ventures, support the groups in availing working capital support from MFIs is a regular program of the organization. So far we have Formed 1200 SHGs. Out of them, more than 700 SHG women have independently started their production units. The program has supported women in respect to gender equity, Economic freedoms, employment generation and poverty eradication. ARTISANS WELFARE PROGRAMME: The organization is engaged in promoting rural and tribal Handicrafts and village Industry systems through intervening, Skill training, product diversification training, introducing new technology, Infrastructure development, and market promotion towards generating employment and enhancing the livelihood of the artisans. TOTAL SANITIZATION PROGRAMME: The organization is engaged in campaigning for total sanitation through different IEC materials, constructing Low-cost latrines for the below poverty line people of the region. WATER AWARENESS PROGRAMME: Water awareness, a continuous program like wastewater utilization, Water harvesting, Rainwater harvesting; a Catch the rain campaign is going on in our area by our organization. YOUTH LEADERSHIP AND SOCIAL ANIMATION: Youth Leadership and Social animators identification and capacity building are some of the flagship programmes of our organization. The organization arrange local level capacity building training for the youth to develop their skill Knowledge and confidence so that they can assist the people of their locality immediately at the time of any emergency. ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AMONG THE SECONDARY AND HIGHER SECONDARY LEVEL SCHOOL STUDENTS: every year our organization celebrate Environment day, earth day involving the secondary and higher secondary level students and their teachers aiming to sensitize them to protect our environment and save the planet. Besides the organization taking steps for preserving the existing forests and creating new forests by forming village-level community laws.
