About
Relearn Foundation (RELF) was formed in 2015 under the mentorship of Prof. Prabal Kumar Sen, Founder Chairperson, of the Entrepreneurship Development Read moreCenter and Former Professor of Economics, at XLRI, Jamshedpur with a vision to work in the domains of Education, Environment and Empowerment. The key focus of Relearn Foundation is to provide quality education to underprivileged students. Childhood innocence is one thing that is barely afforded to students who come from underprivileged backgrounds. There was already a persistent problem of school absenteeism and dropping out before they passed class 10. Especially after the Pandemic, many children have had to work to support their families. Girls would be forcefully married off. Relearn Foundation is run by an organization of tutors, and scientists to give supportive education to students from underprivileged backgrounds. Our focus is to ensure that students continue their education at least till class 12 and get up-skilled. This will add to the quality of community living and general practices of shared community wealth. RELF runs 22 community classrooms for underprivileged students free of cost in order to reduce school dropouts and bridge the digital divide. Currently, RELF has 100 members who support the cause and are involved in the implementation of various welfare activities directly and indirectly. It is through education that we can address some of the issues in the environment by bringing awareness to people regarding the importance of hygiene, proper waste management at the source and sustainable living. Further, RELF aims to promote skill-based training, science model making and digital education as a part of the relearning process and to make the public particularly the civil society aware of relearning through “doing” rather than “knowing”. Design, development and marketing of low carbon footprint products are the domain of activities of our foundation for the conservation of the environment. In addition, women's empowerment through entrepreneurship development is another focus of the organization. In 2021, the organization received a 12A/80G certificate. We work to achieve sustainable development goals.
