About

The Community Development Association was formed as per the provisions under section 18 of the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, It is a community-based Read more organization. It is located in Matang Rishi Nagar, Mankhurd, Mumbai Maharashtra. We are working for education with marginalized communities in the M East Ward area and We aim to reduce the drop-Out ratio from schools. We are working on backwards and forward linking with the team of Children, Youth Groups, and women’s groups. We are running five programmes in the community which are following  1.  Community Learning and Study Center -  Since 2019 we are working towards education with slum community children in the age groups of  5 years to 15 years with an objective to reduce the dropout Ratio from schools. We are running a community Learning and Study Center at Community for slum community children. We are providing a support class to 100 children in the community. We are doing this program for school dropouts and school-going students. The student is studying in a higher class such as 9th or 10th class but the students are concept is not clear they are not able to solve 5th and 7th class questions as well as not able to read their class books properly.  2.  Library -  We are running a mini-Library in the community which aims at building the reading skills of children knowledge and skills. There are more than 100 books in this library, 20 children come every day we are doing various activities along with Studies.  3.  Football Club -  We have started Fatima Bee and Savitri Bai football club collaboration with Parcham with 20 community girls. To increase the participation of girls in sports and Build the Girl's Football Teams in the Slum Community. The age of these girls is between 10 and 14 years. The motto of football is to increase the participation of girls in sports and through sports, girls make their place in society.  4.  Constitution Ki Pathshala a Study Circle - This program started with 15 community youth. To build leadership quality among the youth of the slum community and to pass on constitutional values to the youth.  5.  Women's Leadership - This women's leadership process started with 15 community women, the purpose of this is that the women leaders of the slum community should come forward in the direction of development.
