Rotary Club of Chennai Mid City Charitable Trust

Rotary Club of Chennai Mid City Charitable Trust was registered in the year 2002 by the Rotary Club of Chennai Mid City & has been committed to i Read morets vision of "Empowering the Girl Child".In 2008, they entered an MOU with the Government of Tamil Nadu to build infrastructure and provide holistic support to the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mogappair East, Chennai. In the last 6 years alone, the Trust has invested over ₹ 3 Crores in the school which includes a 12-classroom block. The Trust has from time to time responding to the specific calls of society, be it flood relief or COVID-19 support. In 2020, the Trust raised ₹ 75 lacs and built a COVID ward in the Hindu Mission Hospital, Chennai.  In continuation with our commitment to our vision, we are now entering the next phase of infrastructure development in the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mogappair East. Thanks to our sponsors, the student strength has been steadily increasing in the school which now stands at close to 931 - almost a 300% increase from the time we entered the school! This has initiated a need for a new 24-classroom building and other amenities in the school for a cost of over ₹ 5 Crores.
