For us, education is not a business, but it is a powerful weapon to change people, communities, countries and even the future of humanity . We believe that learning is a lifelong process and gives one the freedom to express their ideas, speak against injustice, overcome poverty and make informed decisions about themselves and the world around them. The Freethinking Foundation team is founded by trained Early Years Educators and supported by people from different walks of life including experts and leaders from large Foundations, Senior Corporate Professionals, Marketing and Communication Consultants and Doctors. FREETHINKING STORY The Freethinking Foundation is a nonprofit that has set up the World’s first “Montessori School on Wheels” in partnership with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Karnataka. This initiative is designed to take early learning to the doorstep of marginalized children aged 2.5 to 6 years who reside in slums within Bengaluru. 8 years ago we launched a chain of Montessori schools under the brand name The Freethinking School to address the need for high-quality early years education. This brand currently operates multiple schools in Bangalore and Kochi. During Covid 19, we launched a Montessori at Home program with the “Freedom from Fees” offer, where parents could pay as much as they can to continue their children’s education. https://www.outlookindia.com/website/story/bangalore-based-school-offers-pay-as-you-wish-fee-model-to-ensure-seamless-learning/357928 And on the occasion of Dr Maria Montessori’s 150th birthday, we decided to launch the Freethinking Foundation to take Montessori to the Masses so that children everywhere can have a solid foundation for life. OUR INITIATIVES Montessori School on Wheels - Early Years Education for preschool children Wonder on Wheels - A creative activity bus to teach, music, dance, theatre Physical Anganwadis - Early Years Education for preschool children Teacher Training Institute - Assistant Teacher and Primary Teacher training to support our expansion plans We plan to scale all these initiatives over the next few years to cater to about 10000 children and 1000 teachers.  RECOGNITION In 2022, we were selected as a top 20 finalist of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA ) Solve 2022- LEAP Challenge. We were also the winners of the Impact and Change - Social Impact Award by the Montessori Group London.
