Since
2000
Established in 2000 by Mr. C Subramaniam, the National Agro Foundation (NAF) operates as a Public Charitable Trust, aiming to catalyze rural developme Read morent, particularly in agriculture, and uplift small and marginal farmers. Its inception stems from Mr. Subramaniam's vision for inclusive growth, drawing parallels with his pivotal role in India's Green Revolution. Transitioning from a "Seed to Grain" paradigm, NAF embraces a "Soil to Market" approach, underlining sustainability in its pursuit of economic and social empowerment for farmers. Following Mr. Subramaniam's leadership, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India, assumed the role of Chairman of NAF's Governing Council. Dr. Kalam's guidance further propelled NAF towards its objectives, steering the organisation through strategic initiatives aimed at fostering rural prosperity and agricultural advancement.
