Handimachal is a not-for-profit organization established in 2009 with a vision to create an inclusive community for children with special needs by in Read moreforming, treating, training, empowering, and creating opportunities towards maximizing the quality of life of persons with disabilities. A team of young therapists dedicated to the cause, use a multidisciplinary approach to meet the rehabilitative, medical, psychological, educational, and vocational needs of the child using a lifecycle approach. Aware of the prevalence of disability and the dearth of services for rehabilitation. Handimachal provides free services to individuals across the state and conducts awareness camps, and advocacy campaigns, and liaises with the government, not-for-profit organizations, and schools to create awareness and build a discourse around inclusion. As our work continues, the number of children seeking treatment also increases every month. If provided with the resources, we plan to expand our services over the next five years to increase our outreach.

Handimachal aims to empower children with special needs and their families through early intervention, community engagement, and professional support.

Handimachal has established an integrated school for children with and without special needs, and has expanded its services to reach remote villages through home-based therapy programs.
