In February 2022, we opened a healthcare unit at Bolpur named 'CWFLabs: Transdisciplinary Healthcare and Research' at Bolpur, Birbhum. With more than 900 primary beneficiaries, this is India's first transdisciplinary research lab. Our main focus is primarily on tribal basic  healthcare with a special focus on women and child health. The unit asserts reimagining healthcare with an intersectional approach with emphasis on low-cost diagnosis and holistic health profile of the rural population. We conduct regular health camps at villages in and around Bolpur. The results and reports from these health camps are used to understand the prevalence of different disorders in the tribal population and then plan interventions accordingly. EMPOWERING TRIBAL WOMEN: A JOURNEY TOWARDS HOLISTIC HEALTH 1. Executive Summary: The project proposal aims to address the holistic health needs of tribal women by implementing a comprehensive intervention program. The program will focus on improving access to healthcare services, promoting health education and awareness, integrating mental health practices, and empowering tribal women to take charge of their well-being. By adopting a holistic approach combined with intervention on both mental and physical health, we aim to enhance the overall health outcomes and quality of life for tribal women and contribute to sustainable development within their communities. Tribal communities often face numerous health challenges due to factors such as limited access to healthcare facilities, socio-economic disparities, cultural barriers, and a lack of health education. In the last one and half years after a survey of more than 500 tribal women in the Birbhum district of West Bengal it was found that chronic pain, anaemia and menstrual problems are predominant. A deeper analysis with psychological scales revealed stress, anxiety and depression. This project recognizes the importance of addressing these multifaceted issues and proposes a holistic health intervention specifically designed for marginalized women. The project involves a total duration of 12 months and the following activities : Screening of 1000 women through physical and mental health consultation and general blood test : 3 months Identifying 300 women with anaemia and related complexities, In-depth Consultation (both physical and mental), Blood test and distribution of 3 monthly health kit (iron and folic acid supplements, vitamin B complex and C tablets, menstrual hygiene support and basic health care guide): 3 months Blood test and further screening of 75 women, identifying those with further complexities and referring them to the local specialized health centre followed by necessary medications: 3 months  Final evaluation of the health support kit of the screened women through consultation and blood test : 3 months Total Budget: 8,60,000 INR
