HumanQind is an interdisciplinary social design organization working at the intersection of human rights, education, mobility, architecture, civic eng Read moreagement, and design. We build processes and programs to solve the everyday challenges of the present alongside the young to break the cycle of poverty and fuel radical transformation for an equal world. Our mission is to share the power of dignity, and democracy & design, equally with children, through community-centered, safe school zones. Through our flagship program CROSSWALK, we catalyze real change through curriculum, data collection, workshops & programs, and partnerships with local government. Students learn life skills & 21st-century skills while co-designing their spaces around schools.  In partnership with the Transport Department, Delhi Government, we are supporting the institutionalization of Road Safety Clubs and currently developing 1 model school zone in every district as a pilot. Including India's first school street designed by 9-year-olds (A total of 11 schools, impacting 100000 students).  We are the recipient of the prestigious Echoing Green Fellowship, the Global Honor Award at World Urban Forum 2020, and recently the FICCI Award for Innovative Education Program in Road Safety.

Crosswalk facilitates communities in progressing towards a safer, fairer, and more inclusive present, paving the way for a compassionate future. We drive tangible transformation through curriculum development, data gathering, workshops, and collaborative programs, alongside partnerships with local authorities. Students not only acquire essential life skills and 21st-century competencies such as compassion, critical thinking, and communication but also engage in co-designing their environments.

This methodology is adaptable to various challenges, equipping children with a lifelong framework and the self-assurance to perceive themselves as agents of change.
