As chemical farming is a leading cause of soil degradation and contributes to climate change effects, we promote chemical-free alternative farming practices such as regenerative organic farming. Our team of AGRO RANGERS conducts a thorough evaluation of soil, water, and climatic conditions to provide farmers with customized and resilient farming solutions. We support farmers in the implementation of tried and tested climate-resilient regenerative agroforestry interventions on their farmland. Our program provides agroforestry saplings, drip irrigation systems, biofertilizers, and post-plantation care support to the farmers at incentivized costs.  Our goal at AGRO RANGERS is to rejuvenate farmland soil quality, increase crop production, improve adaptation and mitigation of climate change impacts, and enhance economic resilience by diversifying crops. We aim to equip farmers with the necessary tools and knowledge to achieve sustainable farming practices that benefit both their livelihoods and the environment.

    District

At AGRO RANGERS, we're committed to revitalizing soil affected by harmful chemical farming practices. Our analysis of over 5000 soil samples revealed alarming depletion in organic carbon levels, plummeting to as low as 0.5% when they should ideally exceed 1%. This degradation poses a serious threat, potentially rendering our land infertile within 15 to 20 years, akin to a desert.

Milestones & Track Record

A significant milestone for Agro Rangers Trust is the transformation of a once barren 7-acre plot into a regenerative farm training center aimed at educating farmers. They have constructed a nursery shed with the assistance of students from Vigyan Ashram, Pabal, and completed a borewell for irrigation. Additionally, they have conducted crash courses on permaculture, engaged in research on indigenous mixed cropping systems, and presented their findings to organizations like WASSAN and RRA Network. Their work has been recognized by Access Agriculture and has garnered support from institutions such as London Business School's Project Aasha and Medha for internship opportunities.
