Within our focus on marginalized and vulnerable children and youth, we prioritize the well-being and empowerment of girls and adolescent girls, ensuring they are the primary beneficiaries of our efforts. Consequently, a significant number of girls and adolescents have received awareness and health education, alongside integration into the formal education system. Through our ongoing projects, we've launched various initiatives aimed at empowering adolescent girls and challenging the preference for sons within communities. Targeted activities focus on combating child marriage and sexual abuse, promoting inclusive education and health awareness, and fostering leadership skills among adolescent girls, thereby enabling their participation and nurturing their talents.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, DVAS collaborated with district and state government agencies to implement special measures aimed at curbing the spread of the virus among the homeless and inadequately housed individuals in Patna. These vulnerable populations, grappling with poverty, faced heightened risks.

To support the livelihoods of urban homeless families, the organization extended financial assistance to 300 individuals engaged in various occupations such as vegetable vending, egg selling, rickshaw pulling, and running small shops. These endeavors, including the sale of tea, litti pakodas, fish, and festive ingredients, offered sustainable income opportunities. Additionally, DVAS facilitated the registration of these individuals as street vendors under the State Urban Livelihood Mission (SULM), providing them with identity cards.
