    Sankalp promotes children education by providing scholarships to children who are on the verge of dropping out due to socio-economic constraints. Sankalp provides scholarships of Rs. 10,000 to deserving students to complete education up to class 10. Children supported by Sankalp are exceptionally bright students yet deserving, orphans, children of single parents, daily wage laborers, and housemaids etc. Sankalp partners with low-cost private English medium schools and identifies children in
    need. Along with the fee support, Sankalp also offers counseling support to parents and children, stationery and books to these children, enabling them to focus on their studies. Sankalp has reached more
    than 1000 children so far.

  • Prevention of child sexual abuse: Project PANTS

    Sankalp, as part of its commitment to creating safer
    communities for children, conducts awareness sessions for children, teachers and parents on the
    prevention of child sexual abuse. The project is called Project PANTS (
    P-Private parts, A- Always
    remember your body is yours, N – No means no, T- talk to a trusted person, S – Shout and seek help).
    The project aims at empowering children, teachers and parents to Recognize, React and Respond
    to child
    sexual abuse. The program enhances the understanding of stakeholders on CSA, its prevalence, dynamics,
    impact, knowledge about potential perpetrators, the importance of knowledge creation, reporting and
    support systems in creating safe spaces for children.

  • Imparting Life Skills

    Sankalp provides children with life skills education alongside Child Sexual Abuse prevention awareness. These life skills include self-awareness, interpersonal relationships, coping with emotions and stress, effective communication, and decision-making. These sessions help children navigate daily challenges, develop positive behavior, reduce risk-taking, and handle peer pressure,
    promoting self-discipline and refraining from violent behavior. The sessions are conducted in a play-way method with activities that will enable children to understand their bodies, safe and unsafe touch, perpetrators of violence, developing support systems, and self- protection and also equipped life skills, especially on understanding self, aspiration building, and goal
    setting. So far we have reached out to more than 50000 children, teachers, and parents from government
    and private schools. Sessions are conducted both physically and virtually.
