Surabi Trust is a non-governmental, philanthropic organization based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu rendering many services to the underprivileged sections o Read moref the society. The organization was founded by a group of like-minded friends in 2008, registering under the Trust Act with the ultimate aim of serving society. The objectives of Surabi Trust are to reach, help, support and advance the interests of the oppressed and down-trodden, especially in matters of health and education. The trustees are not related to each other, and they are not paid employees/administrators of the organization. The trustees have a variety of professional experiences, and their passion to help the weaker sections of society is what brings them together at Surabi. The trust is wholly dependent on support from generous individuals. To ensure transparency in the conduct of Surabi’s business all year-ending audited accounts are circulated to members, and posted on the Surabi Trust website. All the activities of Surabi Trust have been planned and executed based on the goal of reaching and serving the needy. The individual donations from generous supporters go toward expenses incurred by the trust for providing health and education services. Administrative expenditures are kept to a minimum. The impact of our activities is monitored and measured periodically and necessary steps are taken for continuous improvement in quality and quantity of delivery. Surabi Trust activities are classified under HEALTH and EDUCATION. We have programs like HEALTHY MOTHER ( Nutrition support to pregnant women, BALA MITRA ( Nutrition support primary children , BRINDAVAN ( Destitute Home), vocational courses for women, PATHFINDER career course for young graduates.
