About

Ambattur Rotary Charitable Trust was established in 1988 and is located in Ambattur Industrial Estate. (1)The trust runs a charitable hospital, viz Read moreAmbattur Rotary Hospital to give subsidized treatment to the industrial workers and general public. The hospital undertakes treatment for industrial accident victims and is equipped with OP, IP, operation theatre, conducts free cataract surgeries and rehabilitates children affected with Cerebral Palsy. We run a dialysis unit in association with another NGO to perform dialysis for free/subsidized cost. Ambattur Rotary Charitable Trust is a registered charitable trust and the affairs of the trust are supervised and managed by a group of trustees who are members of the Rotary Club of Ambattur. Our other major projects, (2) Ayapakkam Neumayer After School Learning Centre-The goal and objective of the Centre is to provide after school education to children to bridge the gap between what was learnt in school and to prepare them for the next day, apart from improving their skill in mathematics and computer knowledge.The Centre is also focusing on providing vocational skill training to students to build skill and confidence. (3) The T.V.Nagar Primary School was adopted by the Rotary Club of Ambattur in 1980.Rotarians were taken as members of the Educational Society and the Management of the School was taken over by the Rotary Club of Ambattur to ensure proper planning and effective control.

ARCT conducts various social welfare programs including health camps, educational support, vocational training, and disaster relief efforts to serve underprivileged communities in and around Ambattur, Chennai.
