Witnessing the delight of the kids in school brings enormous joy! After just a few months in school, these kids have seen significant transformations. They are now stronger, taller, and in better health. Their capacity to collaborate and have fun with one another has increased. Their ability to communicate has improved. Their inventiveness has increased.
You won't be able to tell that the kids in our DIYA GHAR centre come from difficult social and economic backgrounds. Education truly is a leveller!

Since the epidemic forced the closure of all schools, we had to switch to a community-based strategy for our in-school Montessori instruction. This required us to start filming video classes and provide every child with a learning kit that contained lap desks, seating mats, stationery, and other supplies. We produce parenting videos in addition to the instructional videos, explaining how parents may help their children learn the material. These parents are deeply engaged in their children's educational pursuits for the first time. Furthermore, under the direction of our teachers, we have selected and trained Community Champions who instruct our kids in these neighbourhoods. Both our kids and their parents are still learning and developing today.
