In communities and schools where resource recovery is neither logistically nor programmatically feasible, Sanitation First offers toilets utilizing Dewats systems. These systems, characterized by low cost and high efficiency, employ natural, biological, and physical processes for waste management. Waste undergoes treatment through various stages, including the settler, anaerobic baffled reactor, and fixed bed anaerobic filter, culminating in a planted Gravel filter integrated into the surrounding landscape. This approach guarantees that no untreated waste is released into the environment, ensuring safe sanitation practices with minimal water consumption.
