Programs

  • Kalika Kendra (Free Learning Center – FLC) Programme

Abhyudaya currently supports over 4,000 socially deprived children through 100+ Kalika Kendras (Free Learning Centers – FLCs) across Bengaluru. Supervised by 135 local teachers and 25 mentors, these FLCs engage primary and high school students from government schools for two hours daily, providing academic assistance, homework support, and encouraging participation in extracurricular activities. The program emphasizes holistic development, including quiz competitions, sports, cultural activities, counselling sessions on personal hygiene and community health, workshops on values and ethics, as well as educational and recreational tours. Teachers undergo regular training to enhance their content knowledge, teaching methods, and interpersonal skills.

  • Janagiri and Vidyanidhi Programme

Jnanagiri offers free coaching for Grade X (SSLC) students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, providing Personality Development and Career Counseling sessions on weekends. Over 250 students annually benefit from this programme, with some progressing to professional studies and becoming valuable resources for Jnanagiri activities. Vidyanidhi is an effort to financially support academically bright children from low-income families, disbursing funds once a year to cover school fees, conveyance, uniforms, and stationery. The selection process involves meticulous verification by volunteers before finalizing recipients from Kalika Kendras and selected schools and colleges in Bengaluru.
