GENESIS Vision Foundation is a registered non-profit voluntary organization. A team of dedicated, service minded and committed women founded the o Read morerganization in the year 2006 rendering its services for the betterment of poorest of the poor, regardless of caste, creed, religion and race etc. And also we are working for the rural poor women, youth, child, elder and disabled development activities in slum area of Madurai Corporation, remote villages in Municipality of Usilampatti, Chellampatti and Sedapatti block of Madurai District, Tamilnadu, India. VISION: Vision Foundation envisages a gender just society in which women, children and marginalized have rights over their own lives. MISSION: Vision Foundation envisages a gender just society in which women, children and marginalized have rights over their own lives and sensitizing, marginalized through education and creating socio economic development. GOALS: To improve the people's living condition especially the women, children, youths and disabled from the poor and vulnerable families by strengthening the community based people capacity on functional self-help structures towards a long term sustainable development of the communities AREA OF OPERATION: Vision Foundation is working in rural and urban areas of Usilampatti, Chellampatti, Sedapatti and 10 blocks of Madurai District, Tamilnadu, India. TARGET GROUPS: The Target population includes poor women and children, unskilled dropout youth, widows, aged persons, agricultural labourers, disabled, HIV affected persons, small & marginal farmers, manual scavengers dalits, denotified tribals,and other backward communities. OBJECTIVES: ·       To promote the medical attention and improving the overall health conditions of women and children. ·       To promote educational institution and facilitating formal and non formal education. ·       To Working for the comprehensive empowerment of tribal and dalits women and uplift people socially and economically backward. ·       To Providing vocational training and micro enterprises opportunities and rehabilitation services of CBR to disabled communities. ·       To promote and monitor the self help groups for both women and men and promote the micro credit activities. ·       Mother and child development programs improving the socio-economic and political status of rural communities. ·       To Evolving sustainable livelihood practice with traditional and indigenous people's knowledge and practices. ·       Environmental education & advocacy, sustainable utilization of natural resources, biodiversity conservation, afforestation, soil conservation, water-shed management and community influential natural resource conservation. ·       To providing the legal aid and enabling equity and equality and upholding justice to the poor.
