Impact

Since 2017, GCF has worked with over 200 societies, commercial establishments, institutions and schools, saving over 5000 tonnes of municipal solid waste from going to landfills.

GCF's vision is to save waste from being littered, burnt or going into dumping grounds through recycling, composting or co-processing and create waste-free cities, towns and villages. Their mission is to create urban and rural models for waste management by focusing on one ward in Mumbai and one district in rural Maharashtra to make them waste-free.

    Project Rachna embodies a belief in the transformative fusion of creativity and community empowerment. Situated in the heart of Mumbai's Aarey Colony, our mission is to revolutionize lives and landscapes through skill training and upcycling endeavors.

    Our Mission: We are committed to empowering 15 remarkable women in Aarey Colony through skill training, enabling them to emerge as catalysts for change. Our primary focus lies in upcycling plastic waste, transforming it into captivating art installations and practical utility items such as bags and baskets.

    Upcycling Revolution: Experience the enchantment of repurposing discarded plastic into meaningful works of art! Our bespoke training program empowers women with the tools and expertise to breathe new life into discarded materials. From dynamic art installations that convey compelling narratives to functional bags and baskets, each creation is a testament to the allure of sustainability.
