RESQ Charitable Trust is a not-for-profit organisation that works towards the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and sick animals of all species - d Read moreomestic and wildlife, conducting awareness and education programmes with focus on promoting peaceful coexistence, and striving to reduce unnecessary animal suffering and human- animal conflict. Since 2007, RESQ has been providing 100% free medical treatment to ownerless animals who have nobody to take responsibility of the, when they are injured, sick, or victims of cruelty. At RESQ, we turn helplessness into hope for over 10000+ animals each year. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Dogs, Cats, Farm Animals - cows, horses, goats and provide rescue and rehabilitation for wildlife including Birds, Reptiles, several Mammals including Elephants, Leopards, Monkeys, Deer, Hyena and Jackals. We also actively work on rehabilitating and rewilding endangered species like Vultures and Rusty Spotted Cats.

    District

    Instances of wildlife in distress are promptly reported to our Pune-based headquarters through our 24-hour helplines, manned by concerned citizens, or by officials from the Maharashtra Forest Department and other governmental agencies. RESQ has been duly authorized by the Government of Maharashtra to conduct statewide wild animal rescues in collaboration with the Forest Department.

    Upon rescue, the animals are admitted to our Wildlife Transit Treatment Centre in Pune, recognized by the Maharashtra Forest Department. Here, they receive essential veterinary care and rehabilitation.
