In response to the Chennai Floods of 2015, it initiated a project to construct a primary school in Perumbakkam, Chennai's major resettlement area, catering to over 18,000 families. The 16,000 sq ft school, equipped with 14 classrooms, a library, a computer lab, and staff rooms, will accommodate 500 children, enhancing their learning environment. Scheduled for completion in April 2021, the school ensures proper lighting, ventilation, and sanitation facilities. Similarly, following the Kerala rains in 2018, Bhoomika embarked on a project to rebuild a flood-damaged high school in Kuttamangalam, Alappuzha district, with a stilted structure comprising five classrooms, administrative rooms, and toilets, aiming for completion by September 2021. These efforts align with its broader mission to educate and empower vulnerable communities.
