For the North 24 Parganas District, Dhagagia Social Welfare Society collaborates with Childline Indian Foundation as an NGO. In this district, it functions as a Collaborating organisation. It is directly in charge of the district's six blocks, which are Barasat I and II, Barrackpore I and II, Amdanga, and Rajarhat.
There are now nine people involved in this Childline project. Six team members, one volunteer, one coordinator, and one counsellor are present.
Members of the Childline team of Dhagagia Social Welfare Society are partners of Childline, a national free emergency phone outreach service that operates around the clock. In addition to offering emergency support to children in need of care and protection, Childline also conducts outreach and awareness-raising programmes about child rights, Childline, and its operations. -
Hummingbird Trafficking Project
Helps to lessen the trafficking of children in West Bengal
It entails raising awareness and developing the capacity of many stakeholders.
• Networking and Advocacy • Research
By using the aforementioned four techniques, FADV India hopes to prevent trafficking in women and children by creating a protective mechanism and raising community knowledge of the dangers, repercussions, and vulnerabilities faced by trafficked children and their families. uses a community-led, participatory strategy to bolster the local protection system, incorporating legal aid and raising awareness of victims' rights (for the victims and their families).
The project intends to equip elected local self-government bodies, communities, CBOs, and other important stakeholders to establish safety nets (such as a community-level task force against human trafficking) to combat human trafficking.
