Jan Vikas Sansthan (JVS) is a registered non-governmental, non-profit civil society grass root level organization and working for the up-liftment of Read morepoor and marginalized Dalit and musahar community. The organization came into existence on 13th November, 1998 and was registered under the Society Registration Act, 1860. Organization operational area in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in Jaunpur and intent in 12 blocks, viz., Machhalishahar, Baksha, Sikrara and Badlapur , Karanjakala, Dobhi, Madiyahoo, Barsathi, SujanGanj, Mungrabadshahpur , Rampur at Jaunpur District and jointly comprising of 122 villages. JVS primarily works with the unprivileged and disadvantage group of communities with special focus on Women, Children and Adolescents on issues of education, health, livelihood and human rights.
Action
JVS works to improve the quality of life of marginalized communities with a focus on education, healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and women's empowerment in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

JVS has connected approximately 3019 dropout girls through Sakhiyon Ki Badi centers in Abu Road block, Sirohi district, and enrolled 1427 girls back into government schools in 2022.
