Action in Community and Training (ACT) is an NGO with a vision for Social Transformation creating Sustainable Growth. ACT works at the grassroots wit Read moreh Waste Collectors, RWA’s, Educational institutions to achieve Community-led sustainable waste management solutions in Delhi NCR. Our Initiatives include action programs on Education, Skill Development and Livelihood, Community Development, Training and Capacity building on issues of social concern. Our project Vikalpa aiming at “Waste to Value” has the mission of Environment cleanliness and conservation of our natural resources through raised awareness and perceptions on waste segregation and recycling with RWA’s and Institutions in Delhi NCR. We also lead in providing livelihood opportunity to women waste collectors & women of the underprivileged section of Lakkarpur village Faridabad by establishing the eco-friendly paper recycling unit and home-based upcycling of other wastes like Multi-layered Plastic, Cloth rags and leftover hard plastic of Consumer goods. We also run a Life Skills Development Project as per the joyful Learning concept for the school children in collaboration with Government schools in Faridabad.
