The Bunny program revolves around four key principles: love for God, love for nature, engagement in creative activities, and learning to play together. These objectives are achieved through various activities, including promoting personal cleanliness and social etiquette, practicing simple communication skills, welcoming and conversing with visitors courteously, and fostering social virtues such as patience and cleanliness. Participants also learn to confidently share personal information, including their full name, address, and contact details, as well as details about their parents and workplace or school.

A girl who is an Indian citizen and aged between five and ten years can become a Bulbul Aspirant. Upon completing three months of work as a Pravesh Bulbul, she must demonstrate her understanding of Bulbul principles, such as the Bulbul Promise, Bulbul Law, and Bulbul Motto, along with being able to perform Bulbul Salute and Left Hand Shake correctly. She is then invested as a Bulbul, eligible to wear the Bulbul uniform and Membership Badge, which consists of a blue cloth badge with yellow Fleur-de-lis and Trefoil with Ashoka Chakra in the center. The Membership Badge is worn on the left sleeve. The Bulbul Promise emphasizes duty to God and country, adherence to the Bulbul Law, and performing a daily good turn, while the Bulbul Salute is executed by raising the right arm to shoulder level, palm facing forward, and bringing it down after the salute. Additionally, the Bulbul Prayer, "Ham Hain Chhote Chhote Bal," is encouraged to be adopted and practiced regularly.
