The Anubhuti Shree Foundation originated from the personal journey of Mrs. Hercharan Kaur, who faced challenges with a menstrual disorder leading to a Read more Radical Hysterectomy and complications. During the difficult pre-surgery phase, she had to use up to 20 pads daily for recovery amid intense pain. Recognizing the struggles of marginalized women in accessing sanitary pads during critical times, Mrs. Kaur embarked on a mission. Investigation revealed not just a lack of access but also a dearth of awareness about menstrual hygiene among these women, posing risks to their health. This realization drove the Foundation's mission: offering free sanitary pads to marginalized women and promoting awareness about menstrual hygiene. By breaking the taboo surrounding menstrual hygiene in India, the Foundation aims to foster a society where open discussions about its significance are embraced. The overarching goal is to reduce reproductive tract infections among marginalized women, promoting good health and preventing transmission of infections to future generations. It is committed to reaching marginalized women and girls, educating them about menstrual hygiene, and providing free sanitary napkins.
