Amyga Foundation

The Amyga Foundation, based in Bengaluru, employs the Montessori approach and follows a curriculum aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) to Read more provide complimentary English medium early childhood education to rural children in India. In conjunction with the government, the foundation supports Anganwadis by furnishing Montessori resources and trained educators at each facility. Continuous teacher training in spoken English and the Montessori approach is conducted by the foundation. The preschool emphasizes establishing a secure and confident learning atmosphere through exploration and discovery, tailored to each child's distinct abilities and interests. The curriculum stresses both individual and group learning activities to foster independence and socio-emotional development. Amyga Foundation collaborates with Kreedo Early Childhood Solutions, a Bangalore-based company, for materials, curriculum, teacher training, and assessment standards, benefiting from their expertise in Montessori-based preschool solutions utilized by over 1400 preschools and impacting 100,000 students over the past 7 to 8 years.

Amyga's mission is to bring world-class early childhood education within reach of rural children in India.

Amyga has grown from 8 children and 2 teachers initially to 250 children and 40 teachers across 20 centers in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
