    CECS, in collaboration with the Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPwD), successfully trained 75 candidates with Locomotor Disability in the Data Entry Operator job role. The program, implemented by SCPwD under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), falls under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). This initiative aims to mainstream 'Persons with Disability' (PwD).
    Conducted at the Cottolengo Vocational Rehabilitation Centre (CVRC), an SCPwD-affiliated training partner, the program received support from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Kerala State office as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. It marks a significant milestone for the certified candidates and represents a new chapter in the inclusion journey of Indian Oil Corporation.

  • Thachan

    CECS, in collaboration with EnAble India, has developed the Thachan project, which is a pilot initiative focusing on local wood polishing training. In this pilot project, 15 individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities will receive training in wood polishing under the carpentry trade. So far, it has successfully trained and placed 45 individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in furniture workshops. The goal is to extend this training to 500 individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities within a five-year timeframe.
    CVRRC has introduced the GARV SE CENTER, powered by EnAble India. This centre holds a prestigious position within EnAble India, actively constructing a livelihood ecosystem for persons with disabilities.

  • Pankh

    In partnership with the Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN), CECS has provided training and job placements for 145 differently-abled individuals. These individuals have secured positions in esteemed organizations such as Amazon Pay, Tata Croma, Reliance Digital, Fragomen, and IndiaMART. Over the next year, CECS aims to train and place 250 individuals with hearing impairment, low vision, and learning disabilities.

    CECS played a crucial role as a helping hand for the populations of Paravur and Nilambur during the floods, providing refuge for 4000 individuals. A medical team offered medical and psychological assistance to the affected population. A comprehensive program for rebuilding damaged houses has been initiated and organized by the post-flood relief committee.
    CECS has extended financial aid to 20 families for the reconstruction of damaged houses and is actively engaged in constructing two houses that were completely lost. Additionally, food kits and clothing were distributed to 1500 families. The centre, through its focus on training, education, and research, aims to promote the fundamental principles of sustainable development in the realm of disability management in the area.
