Programmes for livelihood usually concentrate on resource availability, finance connections, and manufacturing skills. Until they are prepared to sell, participants are not schooled to consider markets. When marketing is done before production, they can encounter insufficient demand, which would mean squandering time, money, and possibly even more debt. Insufficient market orientation leaves impoverished entrepreneurs without the resources to move to more lucrative ventures when markets collapse.

  • Institutional Strengthening

To engage closely with Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) to create independent and long-lasting institutions, BPF is currently developing an intervention. Our goal in institutional strengthening is to empower economically disadvantaged women and members of GLBT communities to establish CBOs so they can become independent organisations. These organisations will be equipped to address the issues of subsistence faced by sex workers, women from marginalised communities, Dalit populations, single women, and minority groups in terms of gender and sexual orientation. To increase these institutions' leadership, creating networks, and improving livelihoods are some of the strategies that are employed. Additionally, we want to establish government and other partners for the CBOs. BPF currently collaborates with xx CBOs throughout India.
