Access to safe drinking water is a rare commodity in Gajam district, especially during the summer season. Throughout the year, a significant portion of the underprivileged communities continues to face the challenge of obtaining safe drinking water. This scarcity contributes to the prevalence of waterborne diseases among the local population. Recognizing this pressing issue, the Trust has implemented a piped water supply system serving 10 villages around Buguda. However, numerous other villages still await the provision of this essential facility.

Children represent the future of humanity. Every child deserves access to nutritious food, quality education, and proper healthcare. Embracing this belief and moved by the circumstances of children wandering aimlessly around every day, the Trust recognized the importance of educating these children and providing incentives to encourage consistent learning. Beginning with a modest number of children initially, the Trust now addresses the education needs of over 300 children.

Equally significant is the challenging situation faced by women in underprivileged and vulnerable sections, particularly those from Tribal and Dalit communities. To offer them a chance to acquire vocational skills and secure a consistent income to improve their circumstances, the Trust is conducting market-driven employability skill training programs tailored for women. Currently, the Trust has organized skill training sessions in leaf plate making and tailoring. The training duration spans three months to ensure proficiency. There are future plans to extend this initiative to remote areas within the block and district.
