About
We work for rehabilitation, upliftment & betterment of blind people through cricketing activities at grass root, national and international level Read more. Blind Cricket Association (BCA) is an association of visually impaired cricket players and their well-wishers. It is our firm belief that playing Blind Cricket can enable visually impaired youths in this country to become self-confident and independent individuals. We intend to do our utmost to prove this belief and make the sport accessible to everyone. In contrast to the hugely popular, multi-million dollar driven game, our form of cricket is not played for any profit, but out of pure passion. Over the last two decades we have played in numerous national and state level tournaments, international cricket series and three world cups. It is a matter of great pride to us that in the international arena, the Indian Blind Cricket team has always been a formidable force, always securing the first or runners up position. Blind Cricket Association is our latest attempt to popularize our sport and to encourage more disabled young girls and boys to take it up. Blind Cricket provides the visually impaired tremendous exposure to the outside world, as well as a tough arena in which they have to excel and inspire. This fosters the development of their self-confidence, self-worth and the ability to meet any challenge and impact those whom we meet along the way. We appeal to all those who feel that the visually impaired too deserve to play a sport, a sport that our nation is passionate about. We appeal to all those who believe that sports have the power to transform lives and transcend abilities. Show your support for us at the Airtel Delhi Marathon and `see’ the world through our eyes!
