Programs

  • Child Plan

Initiated in 2005, this project aims to shield children facing stigma and challenges due to their association with families affected by HIV/AIDS, along with abandoned or destitute children. The project establishes a supportive, home-like environment offering emotional and psychological care, fostering the unique talents of each child. Currently, CHILD home accommodates 22 children, providing financial assistance for education and ensuring their essential needs are met, creating a nurturing space for their holistic development.

  • I Support a Girl (ISAG) Programme

The ISAG project, operational in Chennai and Tiruvallur, aims to enhance the living standards of children by providing financial aid for education and ensuring dignified access to basic amenities. Focused on girl children from families affected by HIV/AIDS, commercial sex workers, broken families, and destitute children, the project addresses their substandard living conditions and unmet educational and emotional needs. With 126 children supported so far, the initiative has yielded success, with around 30 girls gaining employment and living independently, positively impacting their families. Currently, 95 girls benefit from this project.

  • Vocational Training Centre

The Vocational Training Centre for Girl Children addresses the pressing social need to enhance skill enablement, especially for those impacted by HIV, school dropouts, single-parent households, and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Despite efforts in education, there exists a gap in equipping girls with job market-ready skills. The proposed centre aims to fill this void, offering free skill development programmes. Objectives include providing market-relevant skills, boosting communication and confidence, preparing for employment, and bridging the gap between academic knowledge and corporate/job market demands for every girl child.
