Moyrabandh Gram Bikash Kendra (MGBK), a registered NGO situated in the Bankura district, addresses the challenges faced by impoverished villagers deal Read moreing with drought-related miseries, food insecurity, and acute poverty. Originating from a critical need, a group of youth and relief workers formed the organization to develop alternative strategies for disaster management, poverty alleviation, education, gender equity, human rights, health care, and mainstreaming socio-culturally oppressed and economically exploited communities. The organization prioritizes intervention through grassroots initiatives, focusing on capacity building to improve the socio-economic situation and create a robust civil society. MGBK supports initiatives that empower the oppressed to demand their rights and address their own needs. The ongoing effort is to establish a self-governance mechanism accessible to rural groups, centered around women's self-help groups, village health committees, youth clubs, and community-based organizations. Objectives of the Organisation: - Providing basic education for all children and eradicating child labor in society. - Offering healthcare and treatment facilities, along with medicinal aid, for the holistic development of weaker section communities. - Providing vocational training and livelihood enhancement opportunities for impoverished women. - Raising awareness of human rights and ensuring empowerment opportunities regardless of caste, creed, or tribe. - Offering necessary support to rural women for socio-economic, environmental, and cultural development. - Improving the quality of life for rural and poor women through education, skill development, income generation, and the organization of self-help groups, thrift savings, and microfinance linkages. - Educating and raising awareness among village people, especially women, on preventive and curative health care, family planning services, reproductive and child health services, and STD/HIV/AIDS control.

Empowerment Of Elderly Girls Of Below Poverty Line Families
The project envisions eradicating the conventional social norms of neglect, oppression, and exploitation faced by girls and women. It aims to create a model for childhood and livelihood development, with the intention to replicate this model in the Kashipur block for education, training, and livelihood enhancement.
The project's mission is to empower 400 underprivileged girls with primary education and vocational skills, fostering their livelihood development. The objective includes integrating them into self-help group activities to facilitate mainstream participation.
