The per capita income of the people they work with is very low with many families living below the poverty line. The condition of women is depressing, grim and deplorable with many of them heavily oppressed by the men in their families. The programme works with the focus of empowerment of women and the disadvantaged by inculcating the value of hard work, integrity, honesty, sincerity, confidence, trust, faith, sharing of information, knowledge, resources, and experiences. The organization practices greater flexibility and innovation in concept, approach, methodology, and action. VISION - Our concern is our people who are very poor. A new development process shall be experimented in which in general and women, in particular, shall be made aware of the challenges of their life and community. work, They will be empowered to study and analyze their situation, participate and involve in deciding their development priorities and work, prepare quality development programme, organize themselves into people’s organization at the level of their community and village. The organization endeavors to help encourage clusters and facilitate these PO’s to undertake their development with the help of their own men and material resources geared around a sustainable, integrated, long-term cluster/village/ area plan. They work with a network of NGO’s at the clusters, area, village, and national level. The organization has the vision to work in a close network of NGOs across North India. They aim to collaborate with all such organization at the national and international level which are in line with their values, vision, mission, goal, and objectives so that they can become effective and efficient. We will also participate in a wider national and international network for advocacy and structural changes. MISSION - Disadvantaged families shall be educated, motivated, organized and united into their own organization for cooperative action to alleviate their poverty. Individuals, groups and communities shall support each other for their effective and efficient implementation of development work. The enhancement of their capability through formal and non-formal education, skill training, upgrading skills is their long-term mission. They wish to promote people-based development rather than promote a dependency syndrome. They work to help people become sustainable and capable over a reasonable time frame. GOALS To promote and cooperate with the disadvantaged people and their organizations for reducing their poverty. To help enable PO’s and their members to become effective and efficient in planning and implementation of their development activities and programmes. To develop local initiatives, leadership, entrepreneurial and managerial qualities in order to implement development programmes. To mobilize and raise local resources and create a development fund to meet the cost of the programmes. To raise critical resources from national and international official and non- official organizations, government, and non- government organizations as well as financial institutions. To enrich human resources through formal and non- formal education and training in skill formation and up-gradation management and entrepreneurship. To introduce appropriate technologies at all levels of our functioning for effective, efficient, result- oriented performance. To focus on gender-sensitive and environment-friendly development.
