    In collaboration with Titli Trust and Ecosystems India, a community-based eco-tourism initiative has been launched. Its primary objective is to enhance the capacity of local communities for site-specific ecotourism endeavours. The underlying model emphasizes collective efforts in the pursuit of biodiversity conservation. Currently, this initiative is in the pilot phase and is being implemented in two distinct locations: Fakim Village, Kiphire, Nagaland, and Dongkamukam, West Karbi Anglong, Assam.

  • Green Hub Fellowship Programme

    The Green Hub Fellowship in Tezpur, Assam, offers a one-year residential programme designed for young individuals hailing from marginalized communities and remote regions across the northeastern part of India. The fellowship centres on environmental awareness, wildlife, conservation, and climate sustainability, imparted through the medium of filmmaking. This unique opportunity aims to reach out to youths who lack access to such training. The rigorous selection process, comprising phone interviews and in-person assessments, admits 20 fellows annually to this transformative programme.

    Under the stewardship of community-based Green Hub fellows, pilot learning sites have been established for livelihood projects with a conservation focus. These initiatives are the outcome of collaborative efforts, involving collective participation. Presently, there are two operational sites within the project framework. One is located in Dongkamukam, West Karbi Anglong, Assam, led by Serlibon Timungpi. The second site is situated in Changlangshu, Mon, Nagaland, under the leadership of Sangti Wanmai.

  • Under the Canopy Programme

    "Under the Canopy" is a conservation-focused educational initiative aimed at expanding environmental education through the extensive network of Green Hub fellows. This programme, initiated in collaboration with schools and communities, serves as an extension of the documentary film titled 'The Wild Meat Trail.' Its inception dates back to 2010 when it was launched in Chizami, Nagaland, in partnership with the North East Network. Presently, the program is undergoing a revival, with a new cohort of fellows actively involved in its implementation.

  • Small Grants Programme

    The Green Hub Small Grants 2023 programme is specifically designed to assist youth hailing from indigenous communities and Green Hub alumni in northeastern India who are actively involved in, or aspiring to initiate community-based conservation projects. These grants will provide financial support for projects spanning a duration of 1 to 1.5 years, with funding ranging from INR 1.5 lakhs to INR 5 lakhs, tailored to the specific project requirements. Projects can be undertaken individually or as collaborative group efforts. The programme receives backing from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Royal Enfield.
