Establishing daycare facilities is one of Malar Trust India's primary goals to provide the poorest students—particularly those who are members of ST Communities—with access to high-quality education and prevent them from dropping out of school.

In addition to providing children with a pleasant space to study and engage in certain leisure activities, the centres also provide school uniforms and educational supplies to the most disadvantaged pupils.

Currently serving around 300 children in seven villages, Malar Trust India runs 10 tuition centres in the Poonjeri and Manampathi areas of Chengalpattu District.

  • Old Age Daily Care Center

In 2023, an Old Age Centre was opened in Amoor Village.

The Centre feeds roughly thirty elderly individuals, mostly women, for free once a day. These are elderly individuals struggling to make ends meet who have no family support, and children who have migrated to the city for work or vanished for other reasons. The majority reside in modest huts.

In cooperation with the Panjayat Council, a list of the poor has been chosen.

Some of them can even spend the night in the centre, where they can also get extra food or medical assistance if necessary.
