Equitable education
Utilizing the expertise in designing systems and addressing intricate challenges, the foundation leverages extensive experience to implement technology-based solutions aimed at enhancing the fairness and effectiveness of the current education infrastructure. The goal is to create a learning environment that is conducive to overall development.
-
Skill development
As a part of this endeavour, it assists unemployed youth in gaining vocational skills across diverse fields. Through the Cyient Urban Micro Skill Center (CUMSC), a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative, it provides courses in bakery and confectionery, beauty and wellness, tailoring, retailing, food processing, and bedside assistance. Additionally, it acts as a catalyst, empowering community members to avail themselves of or participate in various government schemes that promote self-employment.

Digital literacy
In the present day, mastering the operation of a smartphone and computer has become as crucial as acquiring basic literacy and numeracy skills. Unfortunately, a significant number of individuals have been left out of this digital advancement, lagging behind their peers. In response to this, the foundation has established Cyient Digital Centers (CDC) in the schools it supports. These CDCs are open to community members aged between 16 and 60 years, providing them with the opportunity to acquire these essential digital skills. It also actively encourages both the school children and their parents to enroll in these training programs.

Promoting STEM: Application-Focused Pedagogy
When the foundation assumed the responsibility of adopting Government Schools, the promotion of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) became a paramount objective. In addition to providing the schools with learning tools, computer labs, and assisting teachers with the latest content, it embraced an application-focused pedagogy that underscores the practical aspects of their education. To enhance the learning experience, the approach emphasizes encouraging children to be more hands-on. A significant example of this strategy was evident in the science exhibition organized by the students and teachers of a Cyient-adopted Government Primary School in Hyderabad in December 2018. Inaugurated by the Hon’ble Governor of Telangana, ESL Narasimhan, this exhibition marked the culmination of two months of dedicated efforts by the students and teachers.
